Rescues · receipts · redacted where necessary
Real work. real receipts.
Sites pulled out of holes. Before-and-afters, numbers that moved, words the owners actually said. Published with permission. The rest wait their turn.
Unf-cked in three hours.
A qualified therapist with 13 years of CBT practice, RAF veteran status, and a rare speciality in primitive reflex integration therapy. On a Webador drag-and-drop template. Invisible on Google for his own clinic name. We audited it forensically, concepted the rebuild in an afternoon, and put a proper site live five days later.
Headline finding
Searching "headstart mental health clinic chester" on Google returned zero results from his own site in the top 14.
His brand name was colliding with the US federal Head Start programme. Google was serving Pennsylvania, not Chester. A decade of real practice, effectively invisible to the buyers it was supposed to attract.

The audit, in 90 seconds
Ten findings that mattered. The rest were noise.
Forensic, not cosmetic. Google invisibility, platform limits, trust gaps, missing schema, the lot. We write it plain enough a non-technical owner can read it, specific enough a developer can fix from it.
- 01 Zero search presence for core terms. Not page two. Not present at all for "CBT therapist Chester UK" or "primitive reflex integration therapy Chester".
- 02 Built on Webador. Dutch drag-and-drop template. No control over meta tags, schema, structured data, or URL architecture. A professional clinic running out of a garden shed.
- 03 No Google Business Profile. Can't appear in the Local Pack. Can't collect Google reviews. Invisible on Maps. The single highest-ROI channel for a local clinic, switched off.
- 04 Four pages in total. Home, Services, About, Contact. Twenty-plus conditions crammed into two paragraphs on the homepage. One H2 tag. Zero internal linking.
- 05 One testimonial. No professional body logos. No ICO registration. No privacy policy. No mention of indemnity insurance. For a mental health clinic, where trust is literally the product.
- 06 Contact email on outlook.com. WhatsApp link missing a country code. Facebook link with a space in the URL (404 on click). Typo on the homepage: "Primitive Refelxes".
- 07 No technical SEO. No meta descriptions. No Open Graph. No canonicals. No XML sitemap. No schema of any kind. Images on generic Pexels stock, no alt text.
- 08 Differentiator buried. Primitive Reflex Integration therapy. A genuinely rare UK speciality. The site did almost nothing with it.
- 09 Credentials buried. 13 years of CBT practice. RAF veteran. B.I.R.D Centre experience. None of it surfaced. Competitors with less experience were outranking him on every query that mattered.
- 10 No conversion path. Phone and email buried in the hero text. No sticky CTA. No booking system. No "what to expect". The rare visitor that landed had nowhere obvious to go.
The rebuild
Positioning, proof, plumbing. In that order.
We took the findings list and worked through it properly. Not "new theme, same problems". A rebuild that treats a mental health clinic like a clinic, not a blog.
- ✓ Positioning in one line. "Practical therapy that gets results." Headline visible above the fold on every device.
- ✓ Off Webador, onto a proper static build. Full control over meta tags, schema markup (MedicalBusiness, FAQPage, Person), page speed, and URL structure.
- ✓ Individual service pages. Instead of twenty conditions on one page, each condition and each speciality gets its own page, targeting its own keywords, with its own FAQ.
- ✓ Credentials where they belong. 13 years CBT practice. RAF veteran background. B.I.R.D Centre experience. Surfaced above the fold, not hidden on an About page footer.
- ✓ Dedicated .co.uk domain. Moved off the collision-prone .com. Proper DNS, SSL, and canonicalisation. Professional domain email, Outlook address retired.
- ✓ Google Business Profile set up and verified. Primary category, secondary categories, photos, services, review generation live from day one.
- ✓ Two clear CTAs, one screen. Book a free phone consultation, or call direct. Sticky on mobile. Booking integration via Cal.com, WhatsApp with the country code attached.
- ✓ Trust infrastructure. Privacy policy. Cookies notice. GDPR statement. Professional body references. ICO registration. The things a serious clinic has to have.
- ✓ Typo on the homepage? Fixed. Facebook link? Fixed. WhatsApp country code? Fixed. Every little thing, because little things cost bookings.
Why it mattered
Rare speciality, squandered.
Primitive Reflex Integration therapy is offered by a handful of UK practitioners. Low competition, growing search volume. A goldmine the old site couldn't touch.
Veteran credibility, buried.
RAF background is a specific trust signal for CBT buyers with military trauma, first responders, frontline workers. Page one of Google doesn't reward buried credentials.
Local market, outranked.
Every Chester competitor (White Friars, ThinkCBT, Psychology Today listings) was ranking for terms this clinic should have owned. The rebuild is the ground-game to get that back.
More on the way
Other rescues in flight. names redacted.
Three further rescues are in flight as of this writing. They'll land on this page when the owners are happy to be quoted, and not a minute before.
That's the policy: if a client wants anonymity, they stay anonymous, you'll see shapes of the problem, never the name. If they want to be named and quoted, we shake on it first and write it properly.
If you want to be the next one on this page, the door is open and the offer is simple.
